Our Mission

Our Mission is to help Dads become better Christians, better Husbands, better Fathers and Better Citizens in a Post Modern / Post Constitutional America.

Charles “Papa Bear” Matthews

I am not a perfect man by any stretch of the imagination. But, to the degree that I can, I want to help other fathers become better at what they do or understand that they ought to be doing in three primary areas:

  1. His relationship to his God
  2. His relationship to his wife
  3. His relationship to his children
  4. His relationship to his neighbors in his city, state, nation and world… in that order and priority

OUR MISSION – This is defined by those of us who believe that it is important to do these things, and it deserves more than a sideward glance and mental assent.

BETTER CHRISTIANS – We believe in the God of the Bible who has revealed Himself as the creator of everything and who showed Himself to be God in the person of Jesus Christ, who is 100% God AND 100% Man. We are in process of becoming more like Jesus Christ. So, anything I can do to help other men to become more like Jesus Christ is a good thing.

BETTER HUSBANDS – Subsidiary to having a right relationship to God, but definitely a component of it, is having a right relationship to your wife. Anything I can encourage you with that is consistent with being a better Christian and a better Husband, that is where I want to be.

BETTER FATHERS – If you are becoming a better Christian, you will be a better husband. If you are becoming a better husband, you will be becoming a better father. I am here to help push you past the place where I am.

BETTER CITIZENS – I want you, to the degree it is possible, be an excellent example to all others of what it means to be a Godly Citizen.

There is so much that needs to be said about each one of these aspects of the mission. I am in the process of creating study material that I will provide at no cost to you for all of the above related items. My prayer is that if it is helpful to you, that you would also share it with others.

The other part of my prayer is that you would be willing to get back to us and tell us how the things that we may have said or written have helped you in any aspect of your life. if you have suggestions as to how we can do things better, we want to hear from you as well.

I appreciate your time, realzing you can do any other possible or conceivable thing with it. I want to be a good steward of your attention, so I will often concentrate or ‘boil things down’ to the most significant and relevant parts.
